No such thing as a gem on CL.....at least not a job anyhow....those listings are there for folks that really don't want to work to start with...they're probably only trying to satisfy the minimum requirements (Looking for work) to get UN-employment.

Just because you have that CDL , doesn't mean that you're qualified...lots of folks driving out here that have no business riding a bike , much less a semi....the industry is fine....you're just looking at the wrong end of it.gpsman Thanks this.

How dare you perform due diligence!
To be fair, some of these carriers are using employment agencies who contract with others to spam the living #### out of CL nationwide, ostensibly based on the principle the more #### you throw at a wall the more will stick. Probably paid "per applicant" and/or "page hit through link".
And I guess that works well enough or they'd stop wasting their time. Like infomercials, if they didn't generate income, they wouldn't be produced, or broadcast, or so prevalent. -
Thats why I said "CAN BE"! But one would never know if they don't look. As far as being unemployed and looking to satisfy a quota, don't care, it's not me and my mind would never think negative first if I saw an ad for a job! All the listings were not small companies either. The mega companies have ads their as well. My suggestion was only that and another search avenue.

I would disagree with that. I have seen USF Holland ads on Craiglist recently and before Christmas ABF had an ad by me.

Meh..One can find a decent Trucking Company on c.l. if careful..As well as a woman..Although "decent" I'm not so sure..
I would advise using common sense but if you're on there already..It's to late for that...
