Yes, I am seeing some reports of severe storms along I 20 in Texas and I 30 across Arkansas.
[h=5]Truckers' Code
[/h]If you have drivers on I-30 between Mt. Pleasant, Texas and Little Rock, Arkansas, they really need to watch it. High winds are forcing drivers off the road with the storms rollin along I-30. 1/2 inch hail is in those storms also. Tree limbs down too across various roads. Be careful out there y'all.

I've watched my husband read this one thread for days and tell me some of the things on here, so I had to come in as well. Seems to be a lively bunch in here lol, that may be an understatement
I think it's gave him and me both a relief that this shouldn't be a bad company to start with. Look forward to sharing stories with y'all!
gamma and HometimeQueen Thank this. -
While i'm here how long of a wait is there on average to get a company truck at the rockwall terminal?
-
Welcome ajacks! When does your husband start with TransAm?
The King went to orientation in Olathe ....over 4 years ago....he finished training on Friday and was in his company truck by Monday. I think sometimes they will tell you that you will have to wait longer for a company truck than what you really do. I haven't heard of anyone having to wait more than a few days.gamma Thanks this. -
I hope its not very long.... i mean its not going to bother me either way but well i wanna get moving haha. And i'm the hubby btw
HometimeQueen Thanks this. -
Yup, Gamma is the hubby, we take him to the bus stop Tuesday evening.

That's great! We are glad to have both of you join us!
I should clarify my answer on the truck availability for company drivers. When my husband started we heard that some drivers might have to wait a couple of weeks for their truck....but I was never able to verify that and it certainly wasn't the case for us. -
I don't think anyone can say, not even TransAm. Freight, drivers and trucks move. It just depends on how things work out the week you are scheduled to pick up a truck. If it is any help, I went through orientation in Olathe but TransAm flew me and another driver down to Rockwall to pick-up our first trucks. With the travel day, plus one more day of waiting, I ended up with two "dead" days with no truck. After that, TA sent me out like a shot on runs and kept me busy for a solid month.
Also, I picked up my last truck (my 3rd with TA) in Olathe but turned it in at Rockwall ... hope it helps :0gamma Thanks this.
