Do any car hauler companies hire and train a driver with 6-11 months OTR experience?

PMTG out of Okemos MI will hire you and train you.

Be prepared to drive junk and breakdown..though it is a crap shoot on getting a good truck.

Drive 6 months for them and move on to a better company.

How does one start out you ask? First, either you have 6 or 11 mos. of experience or something in between. Which is it? Second, most carhaul companies want experience because it is hard enough to learn carhaul for an experienced driver, much less learning to drive and haul cars too.

So here's how you start out. Get about 3-5 years DRIVING experience under your belt. Then look to hire on with an Auto Carrier. With a year or less driving experience you are still "wet behind the ears" so to speak.

If you went to PMTG you would driving a Freightliner Argosy 8 car carrier.

Old but most have been redone.

You could get one that runs fine..it's a crap shoot just like any other company.

PMTG is hurting for drivers so they're your best bet.

Run for awhile then move on..buddy of mine did the same thing..6 months of running and now he's at fleetcar doing very well.

I drove there for awhile,it's not that bad..You have to start somewhere..you can't always be driving the best equipment.

I recommend Hansen & Adkins to hire and train. They run newer equipment and offer several benefits.

You car haulers are crazy. See 10 a day loading unloading on busy streets in my town.
Dealing with multiple stops and non business oriented customers.
