They stopped reporting it because the reports give the truckers more strength. They don't want you to know it's still going on. or where and to what degree. That would give you more power. I was shocked to see all the coverage on 4/1. I think they realized their boo boo by 4/2. I haven't seen another report on it. I think you should all go park in front of the news stations!!???

Keep sending emails to your local news station's. Also keep emailing CNN, Fox News, MSNBC. You know the old saying, "The squeaky wheel gets the oil." Still Parked in Eastern Carolina

I have a buddy that is the news director for one of the stations here in Grand Rapids. I was talking to him yesterday and asked him why there wasn't any coverage for the trucker strike going on. He said:

"We've heard about it on our national affiliate, but it's not a big enough story around here to warrant the coverage beyond the national coverage, it doesn't seem that big."

We did talk about the reasons for the strike, and the hoped outcome, and I know he ins't "trying to keep the truckers down" for this station in particular at least, there was no scene here in W. Michigan, and he just didn't see a real story. He said in closing "We report the news, we don't create it." Meaning that they are not going to keep pushing a story to make it a bigger story.

I said "so what about Anna Nicole or Natalie Holloway?" He smiled and said "well, we didn't run those, the national channels did, and you're right about that."

    Just some news outlet input...

Strike??When did this happen?I must have missed it because I sure didn't see anyone on strike this week. Why would CNN report on something that didn't happen.Lots of blow hards yapping about a strike but as usual it was all just yap yap yap!!!I'm sick of hearing about this non-event.Give it a rest already!!
