It's time for a strike!

HI. Im not a driver but have been involved with drivers most of my life either in a relationship or now as a cashier # a small local truckstop in NE Pa. As i watched the prices of fuel climb and watched many independent guys start losing their trucks; i knew it would come to a unorganized gathering of parked trucks. Last night i worked and when i left our small lot was FILLED to capacity as was the lot across the street from us.
The news media is beginning and i wish u all the BEST of LUCK. this not only affects U drivers but the nation as a whole - u guys dont move the freight - it causes increases across the board for consumers. America needs to wake the heck up and support our own for a change!!!

I'm not going broke !!! I simply want a better lifestyle for myself n all the other OO people out here !!! I want honesty and everything laid out on the table so everyone knows how the pie is cut and everyone makes a decent liveing !!! Not some-one on a phone makeing more than I am hauling the load because he arranged everything ??? I want lower fuel prices so that the saveings are passed on to the consumer and things cost people less money so that their lives are better overall !!! He is no different better or worse off than any of the rest of us ?? No bully tactics just the truth about what could happen and has happened in the past !! Oh I understand all right !!! I understand that he is only concerned about his-self and what he thinks is right !!! People are not all the same--putting the words ""god bless""on something doesn't make it correct either ???? Kind'a like all those people I see howling it up on friday n sat nights in the bar n then going to church on sunday morning to be forgiven ????? They shouldn't have been there in the bar in the first place ????? I told him more than once GOOD LUCK ????

 

I totally agree there is a time n place for everything n yes in times before and probably in times in the future that will include violence ???

 

lol wow. Company drivers are jealous of Owner Ops? Yeah, Ill keep that in mind as I pass by some of the owner ops who dont know (or think they know) how to run their business and fail miserably and sell their truck.

Sorry, but your rant was just what i needed this morning for a good laugh. Not only did I stop halfway through beacuse coffee was coming out of my nose...I thought about going out to put my waders on because the font was turning brown and I felt like I was wading through a big pile of poo. Secondly, as I go out to get my waders, seems I need to make some tinfoil caps for the conspiracy theorists out there.

 

Your response doesn't suprize me much seeing as how you havn't even been in the seat for a year yet and I allready know your sitting in a company truck and that explains your response as well !!! What would you know about running a bussiness sitting in that company truck jumping every time your company yelled at you to perform ??? I've been at this for 29 years so don't start trying to tell me how things are !!! After you have some time under your belt instead of that lack of knowledge then you can pass judgement on others until then I suggest you keep quiet n learn !!!

 

hmm..what do u have to say about o/o that do make decent living right now even still ( by decent i meant at least doubled the income compared to a company driver after all expanses) All i know for a fact that theres a majority of o/o that wouldn't wanna be company drivers especially during this time. When was the last time you had a choice to pick your own load that you wanted that was paying good money?? How about knowing how much the load even pays? I think never. So you need to quite down and just keep rollin at your .46cent a mile or so and be respectful to other o/o and company drivers that actually look forward to being an o/o in a future.

Today you have the power to reduce the cost of gas and even demand restitution for the money you have already had stolen from your wallet. That $128 billion dollars in profit is your money. That’s right your money. Even more gas prices may go back to where they should be no more than $2.00 a gallon. Pass this information on especially to all truck drivers as a blog, in a forum such as this, even on youtube for those of you who are able.If nothing else just copy and paste into another forum or blog and or give a printed copy to others. Are you made as he!!! ? Well then what are you waiting for just do it… Timing is everything and the time is now! STRIKE!
