Dont go to boyd

    I wouldn't suggest boyd to anyone. I stuck around for 6 months only so that i wouldn't have to go with a trainer at another company. Every week i was geting home latter and later. i talked to milton witch is over the dispatchers and he told me that i wasnt geting a new dispatcher and we needed to work it out. so then i went to the next person up and was told that thats the way it is. about a week ago i had to sit for 2 days with out pay becouse he failed to make an appointment that needed scheduled 48 hours before. then they tryed to make me go into NY with out a hud sticker. Every week on thursday i am going fearther away from home. and if you want nice tarps it wont happen here. they patch tarps that are dry rot. most tarps have more patches then origanel matterial.

    You can't just go above your dispatcher's head with out atleast bringing your issues to the table. You have to try to work it out on the ground level first, and if that doesn't work to your satisfaction, then you can bring it higher up the chain. Have you brought this up with your dispatcher yet?

    That's all surprising to me. My bf has only had 1 weekend he wanted home that he couldn't make it. Otherwise if he wanted home he was here. He has requested new tarps and received them with no problems. The longest he's sat was overnight and that was only because night dispatch had nothing in his area headed towards home. His dispatcher has even routed him out of route to get him home on the weekend. The only issue he ever had with his dispatcher was dealt with promptly and no issues with him since. As for the HUD sticker, I don't know what to say on that as my bf has his even though he hasn't gone to NY.

    Ya me and the dispatcher has had issues for a while. i think things could have been alot better but was told i couldnt have a diffrent one. who does ur bf have.

    People will learn. I did 2 years, and got away from them. Good starter company. Can't help but laugh at new guys that think they are in heaven. I don't understand the million plus mile drivers. Who in the right mind...never mind. New and lied to drivers get your experience and always explore deep into your options.
