Is Marten Transport any good?

Stay away from marten transport, let's start from top. Dispatchers tell you very little, so ask alot of questions. Make sure you ask for layover on the weekend s because you will be sitting with no load. Miles?....you be lucky to get 1800 a week. If you and your dispatcher don't get along, ask for another right away or he/she will give u all the ###### runs, which means no miles. Don't be afraid to stand up for yourself or they'll walk all over u. Good luck

 

i WOUILD ADVISE ALL DRIVERS TO STAY AWAY FROM MARTEN TRANSPORT FOR ALL REASONS AND SOME!!!! I JUST LEFT MARTEN THIS MONTH(MAR 2014), "THEY ARE LOW DOWN DIRTY COMPANY TO WORK FOR.." THEY LIE TO THE ENTIRE TIME U THERE, TREAT THERE DRIVERS LIKE CRAP (SLAVES),THE PAY IS HORRIBLE THERE,THDISPATCHERS TALK TO U LIKE YOU'RE TRASH (ONLY IF U ALLOW THEM TO DO SO), THEY LIE TO U ABOUT THE LOADS, THEY FORCE U TO RUN LOADS UP NORTH,WHEN U DON'T TURN THEM DOWN!!!! THEY BLACK-BALL U WHEN U TURN DOWN LOADS ALSO, AND LASTLY , THEY HAVE ######## EQUIPTMENT, THAT WILL PUT U DOWN ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD!!! IF YOU KNOW ANYONE DRIVER OR DRIVER'S THINKING ABOUT GOING OVER TO MARTEN TRANSPORT TELL THEM " RUN FORREST RUN !!!!!!"

 

Martin is funny

I called them once, told the recruiter,"Five years experience, no accidents, no tickets, no service failures."
All of which is true. I asked what they had in the way of a job for me. The recruiter said, "sorry we don't hire in your area."

The very next monday I got a email from the community college I attended that said, "Martin Transport is needing drivers in the area....." All with a advertisement from Martin.

Too bad. I am glad I made the call. I now know what kind of company they are and don't have to ever wonder about them again.

 

That's how they operate toomanybikes. If you have more than 3 years of experience they don't want u because they'll have to pay too much for. They rather higher they less experienced and knowledgeable drivers so they can take advantage of and pay less. You dodged a bullet toomanybikes.

Jtst been excepted To martin and also to a company called TDi Which is a local company which I am trying to make a decision on anyone has any feed back to help a brother out

 

" stay away from marten transport !!!!" you probable be better off at tdi, or even some other company... You will regret the day you ever heard of marten transport !!! They'll screw you every chance they get.. Also, " they'll promise to get u home , when its your time to go home..." that's ######## !!! They'll run u up north away from your home state, and tell u " the only way u can get home from up north is run these loads here, then we'll see about getting u home!!!" that's after your home is over.... Please , stay away from marten, they'll will screw your dac record up , if ever try to leave them!!!
