I've been looking at trucks to figure out which to buy. I'm taking my time to make sure I don't mess up lol. Anyways, my question is, is the 386's cab narrower than the 379/389? I know Peterbilts cab is narrow but the 386's seem extra narrow? I haven't ever been in one so this is why Im asking.

We have 378s, 379s, 386s and 389s. All the same cab. The only difference would be model years and leg room. The newer the cab the less legroom you have with all the electronic crap they've added over the years.

379's could be ordered with the higher headroom , different than a flatop or low roof design . It can make the cab feel larger than it really is . It depends on you really , if you have been driving for a long time like some of us , you may like the old style hood , but if your into aerodynamics then you may go the route of aero. Me for instance there is no subtitute for a hood , but I started with a 66 white with a stubby hood and I have driven some aero styled trucks too, not my own though . Everything I have ever owned has been a hood design, except for my little international car carriers which were aero.
