Depends on the city it's usually around $100. neighbor of mine has been popped for it a couple times they fine him $100 and he sends the city a bill for $250 for a brake adjustment tractor and trailer, he's never seen a dime of it, but hey it's worth a shot I guesswyldhorses Thanks this.

There is a sign on a route I take frequently. It went up 20 years ago and read "Easy On The Jake Brake". A year or so later they slapped a sticker over "Jake" that reads "Engine". -- I still don't know what "Easy On The Engine Brake" means!
