Engulfed lettuce truck forces closure of 15 Freeway in Baker

Highway 58 and the 15 Freeway are both facing major traffic delays.
Two semi trucks collided and are blocking the 58 just west of Flower Street in Barstow. The crash and construction in the area led the California Highway Patrol to declare a Sig Alert at about 12:30 p.m. The northbound 15 in Baker is also closed, with a semi truck carrying 77,000 pounds of lettuce fully engulfed. The fire is at mile marker 132.
