After a few years running every imaginable road from nowhere to somewhere or vice versa, take a real hard look before you leap into a seat. It's sad but true a lot of these big outfits are worse than watching a butcher grinding fresh meat. They leave a lasting impression that is hard to forget. Sometimes I wish I could erase the memory of have a idiot sit behind a computer and call himself a fleet manager. I now refer to dispatchers as fleet manglers!

Have you tried Pride Transport in Salt Lake City, Utah?

I looked at KKW Trucking in Pomona, but don't know if they would cut you any slack or not.

i haven't..... (But I'm looking now!) I'm trying all the local LTL's first, and will exhaust that avenue before I consider OTR again....

have a few coals in the fire, and actually road tested, and took drug test, and physical for one (just waiting on background)

(first time I ever had to do a road test in a pup, AND then a set of doubles before lol)

i don't know if I personally have ever said it... But: I really appreciate all the help/ sound advice you've given me since I've been on here.

Just one last word, for anyone that is considering this place......... I suggest that you save your paycheck stub/direct deposit emails because you JUST MAY NEED THEM ...................

Company I've been waiting for- is STILL waiting on western to verify my employment there (going on 2 weeks) , I passed every other part of their background- so they are hiring me - contingent that they can verify my employment.
i just forward them my (2) paychecks that i got while i was there and was told that SHOULD be sufficient, I'll need to sign a form stating i understand that it's contingent on my employment verification.....

Shouldn't say im surprised (I heard this as a rumor before i applied to western: if you dont stay 9 months), I'm just a little irritated.

So If you decide to go there, cover your butt! it may/may not be necessary - but better to be safe than sorry.

I had a dispatch from them. I had an hour and a quarter left on my week. I was near Norwich Connecticut. They wanted me to drive 150 miles to Montgomery NY. Some how they could not understand why I didnt have the time. Yes I drove it, and they penalized me for accepting the demand to go there. Nice company huh?

Speaking of accidents, I got into one that was technically my fault. After pulling over several times due to "fatigue", the d.m. on the other end told me to get my lead driver up in 20 minutes. He was already up and informed me to keep pushing. Less than 5 minutes after that I had the accident. I should of went with my gut instinct and just sat.
