Oh, & if I may......right now, it's the weekend! As of now you're hired! For the next day or so relax & enjoy that time off. Take a breath or two, & be pleased with what you've accomplished so far. Sunday afternoon & the skills course will be here soon enough. Enjoy some down time & don't stress over stuff ya can't really do anything about right now anyway. ;)

I wonder if any current McElroy drivers could comment on two dedicated accounts...one is Texarkana - Austin, the other is Texarkana - Houston. Any feed back is appreciated.

You're really not hired until you get your first solo load. ;)

So, Revkev, I noticed your right down the road from me, I'm a returning driver (been off the road for, well, enough time to lose my cdl due to not paying attention, I'm currently going through a CDL school as we speak, and McElroy was suggested by my brother, so been really diggin all the info I can about them. Hoping things work out!

Yep, looks like we are neighbors! I get over to Huntsville a good bit. My bride's mom, sister & her family live over there. Plus, I deliver dry bulk & some chemical loads over there quite often. I'm sure things will go well for ya! Wish ya all the best!

    Efox82 Thanks this.

My apologies, I didn't realize you had went to the tanker side, :p. I've considered it, I'm getting my tanker endorsement along with Doubles/Triples, just like last time, but don't you need Hazmat for TWT?

Oh, no apologies necessary! I've had a few folks ask me stuff about McElroy since I left there. Just glad to help. And yep, TWT requires hazmat endorsement, & eventually a TWIC card. Good thing was they reimbursed me for them! :)

Sadly in my hayday I had some bad experiences with Hazardous loads, so I think I may bow out on that, but hoping to get my skillset added too with Flatbedding, I predominately ran dryvan and reefer, and my sibling works for Jordan, hoping to get about a year or so in before I try to move over to them, but even as my brother said, I may enjoy it over at McElroy enough that I'd like to stay. One can hope!.

A guy I went thru training with at McElroy had that plan, too, b/c he had a friend working at Jordan. He's now a driver trainer at McElroy & seems to be really enjoying it there.
