I am just starting in this field. I am amazed at how many companies want to hire me yet have heard horror stories from truckers on youtube. I want to pick a company that I will at least be able to pay my bills and be shown a little respect. I would really like your input. I need to make a decision in the next couple of days. Thanks Lags

First of all, where is your location?
Need to know the hiring area you live in.
Have you attended CDL school?
Do you have any endorsements, TWIC, passport?
Answer these questions & we can help with the good paying jobs. -
I live in Michigan, between Detroit and Ann Arbor. I went to 5 week school, took road test, went to another course for safety a decision driving course. I have hazmat, tankers, double. I guess my biggest question is ..... are there any companies that have female trainers? I was told many companies did at the school but now I am finding they don't.

I don't have the passport or TWIC

Many companies have some female trainers, but it may be hard to schedule one.
US Express might team you with a female; teams there make good money, but the best money for a solo driver is with tankers.
Central Refrigerated seems to have plenty of female trainers.
If you live within a resonable distance of NTB Inc terminal, they hire new CDL grads and may not need a female trainer since they're home most days.
Here's some Michigan terminals:
- Carleton / Newport, MI
- Kalamazoo, MI
- Stanwood, MI
- Walker, MI
