Well that makes sense...I'd be a little upset with my city if my brand new water main was delivering poisoned water to my home...
-
Used to demand I smoke tarp sewer pipe: said the fumes could cause deformity in the pipe......hard to imagine that occurring but that's what the customer wants. First time around the guy said so that smoke residue doesn't contaminate the inside of the pipe...I mentioned that the next thing throught the pipe besides wind would contaminate it a lot more than diesel fumes =/Cetane+ Thanks this.

Hauled some plastic sewer pipe to a hog from that they were pumping their manure through out to an irrigation system. Demanded it be smoke tarped.

I have a buddy that has a weed burner exhaust. They made him smoke tarp sewer pipe. Go figure.
Cluck Cluck Thanks this. -
i'd like to see you tarp 60 ft. with tarps that aren't long enough. in 20 minutes.
i've only had one load actually tarped.
rebar don't pay to tarp. nor any steel for that matter. but shipper wants steel tarped.
i've had 2 loads that receivers wanted tarped. out of all the tarped loads i've hauled.
as for the rest of them. only the broker wanted it tarped. and i'm talking everything. not just steel.Cetane+ Thanks this. -
If you are being paid to tarp, tarp, I don't understand the dilemma.
Sublime, MJ1657 and passingthru69 Thank this. -
You really don't get it.
Did anyone say anything about someone that shows up for a load not prepared for it? The rest of us that are not lease purchase or failed lease purchase drivers would make sure we show up with what we need to do the job properly.
I edited my original post because hopefully the general public does not read these boards. I would not like to be embarrassed by posts like I quoted.Last edited: Apr 3, 2014
CanadianVaquero and Ruthless Thank this. -

I know that feeling. I hauled pipe that was rust brown and covered in snow that had to be tarped to only be taken off and put in a mud pit.
