Just to let you know that Jim Palmer trucking was bought out by wiltrans. So don't worry about the Jim Palmer trucks towing Prime units.

Jim Palmer has not owned the company since it came out of Bankruptcy protection in 2009 , 2 Chicago investors had bought it with hopes of expanding it .

Hope wiltrans did buy em. Those new owners didn't do much to improve the company.

So we will be pulling ours and theirs. Wiltrans will be pulling ours and theirs. And JP will only pull theirs?

Nope we are all one family. I have seen JP pulling our units in Utah/Idaho area. Also, they are using our SLCHD yard to hold some of there units.

Ahhh ok. Thats what I thought.

I was confused by this statement

As in... don't worry, they're not up to something shady.

Saw a prime truck pulling a jim palmer trailer in Oklahoma (or texas, forgot where I was) today, and I'm pretty sure I saw a JP truck at the terminal in springfield. Looks like we're all happily married now.

I doubt it's a "happy marriage." As in other acquisitions, I'd wager around 2/3's of the JP drivers are totally PO'd about it, and an even larger proportion will not be on-board at Wil-Trans next year. OTOH, if JPs equipment is anything like what Prime ended up with in the TRL acquisition... you don't want to be within a mile of pulling it. It's probably mostly junk. How many O&S trailers have you pulled recently? None.

Some of those O&S trailers look to be on permanent shuttle duty now between Kraft off Glenstone and the Caves in Springfield.

And your right, can't say I've seen an O&S behind a Prime truck since a month or two after we "partnered" with them.

Those trailers are on permanent shuttle duty... marked for that, and are pulled by dedicated O&S drivers only. The only equipment I can recall Prime keeping after one of these deals were the Passmore flatbeds... and none of the 'bedders I've ever talked to liked pulling 'em.

JP pulled into the shipper I was at the other night, a half hour late. Don't think this is going to be an "easy" marriage.
