The only good thing about this company is that you can make good money,,,that is it!!! And because of that mngt will treat you like crap.

I doubt that they know what is going on in Michigan (main HQ) cause I'd like to belive that they would not allow it.

For instance, there are some routes that you need to run teams and a sleeper...from 16-24hr routes, EVERYONE that I know there works iilegally, (working when it show sleeper berth). you cant tell me that they don't look at our unload rate when we are at a store...pretty imposible to unload 6,000lbs in an hr by yourself, and other guy in sleeper.....get on thier bad side though....you will get inspected on route....and busted for working out of the sleeper......not to mention end of year, when your getting close to getting your $2,000 saftey bonus.....they busted a bunch of guys......so they would have to pay out.

we had a 25yr veteran, who was made the yard guy by prior mngt, new mngt hated that they were paying a yard guy $70,000+ to jockey trucks....guy got injured.....when he came back...was told his position was no longer availble..that he had to go back to doing routes.....is that how you treat someone that gave 25yrs of service?....driver sueing...

Another driver, hit in mouth with a dough tray, cracked tooth..was told that..thats what dental ins is for.....same guy jacked up shoulder at work....mngt said they didnt belive that he did it at work...must have done it at the gym.....driver suing

another driver..wife had knee surgury on a Mon..he had Mon and Tuesdays off,...wife still could not walk and needed assitance to get to rest room...called in sick 9hrs before shift...explained situation...was told he would have consiquences if he didnt come in.

driver scaled out truck cause it felt heavy, was yelled at by mngt for wieghing truck....was drawn a map to get around scales

Drivers goes to the GM with a concern....get ready to be told that..maybe this just isnt the job for you.

another driver..live 90miles away...arranges custidy of his kid on his days off..mngt called for him to come in on his day off...said he can't...has his kid......written up for "Not being a team player"

althogh not to recently....many times was told to that they can't load the truck because hq inspectors were there....and they had to put dough in the back of the truck(dry section...big no no) so had to wait till they left

I could go on and on....you get the idea

I too drove for Dominos SoCal dist. Ctr. For 3 years. Worst 3 years of my life. Sure I made good money, but at what cost. You can pretty much make good money anywhere when your putting in 70 hrs a week. They have you jumping trucks. So you throw cases and push in deliveries for anywhere between fourteen and twenty four hours, working out of the sleeper. Then when you get back you jump into another truck for another run. Imagine your partner is driving you back in the middle of the night and he's at the tail end of one of these runs. Because you drove out because he is out of hours and has to reset in the sleeper(which he is working out of). Now he's been basically been working 48 hrs staight. Not only but working his tail off unloading each case by hand with a handtruck. Completely exhausted driving you back to the yard because your out of hours. How dangerous is that? The more rules DOT make the more they snub their noses at them. They say all the time that this is a job that comes before your family. This is an absolutely horrible place to work.

Tough business for sure, I work at Dominos dist. Ummmm. You can make good money....at a cost though definite wear and tear on your body, I've seen lots of hernias, shoulder and knee surgeries

since I work there, and don't need to get fired I won't comment on the stuff that's already been said

    Yea,
do you think this is possible? Team route 465 miles round trip 13 stops unload 33-34,000 lbs (hand truck and rollers, no pallet drops) in 19-20hrs? Oh and having to take all your lunches and breaks ? Mind you at 20 hours that means someone working solo a min of 6 hrs so the other driver coming on would have exactly 14 hrs available

In recent years, I think all the food companies have paid out ALOT in lawsuits for drivers working through lunches and breaks.... I got about $10,000. ;)

    HaHa ...good one

Dominos has warehouses throughout the country, many times other commissaries need help for one reason or another, so we will lend out a driver, not a bad deal for the driver he gets paid what gets paid at SoCal rates, plus an extra 10%
I was talking to a driver that was telling me about another driver that as "lent" out and worked for another commissary for a couple weeks, when he came back he was talking to co drivers about how the other commissaries was doing things. Apparently he was brought into the office and told that he is expected to keep what he sees at other dominos commissaries to himself!!!! If your running a place, wouldn't you want to know how other places are doing things, and if it's better implement those things?

I've always wondered how good the ingredients they use are. How can the product be made at the fActory....shipped to our commissary .... Held in huge freezers running 24/7 then shipped to the store...paying for truck and 2drivers (avg of $425 day each)...and still be able to sell a lg pizza for $5.99.....and still make money.......I prefer my local, mom and pop pizza at 2-3x's the cost
