They just completed construction on a first class training facility. Tons of big, beautiful pictures. Definitely can't say that about another trucking company training program.
If you graduate you are guaranteed a job.
What happens after I graduate from the Driver Training School?
Upon completion of the Quality Drivers Training School, you will have a trainer join you while you complete a 6-week over the road training period. During this time you will receive $58 per day. Next you will have guaranteed job placement with Celadon Trucking where you will be required to haul for 240,000 miles, which takes approximately 6 months.
After I graduate will Quality Drivers take money out of my Celadon paycheck?
No, we will never take a penny from your paycheck as long as you complete the required 240,000 miles with Celadon, which is approximately 6 months. If for some reason you do not complete your full time with Celadon, you will be set up on a payment plan.
When I start driving with Celadon, what is my home time like?
Depending on your hiring area, Celadon drivers are out a minimum of 2 weeks and then will receive 2 days of home time before the next haul. If you are out longer than 2 weeks, for every 7 days on the road, you will then receive 1 day of home time. Example: 3 weeks over the road = 3 days of home time. You will have what is considered a travel day which is the travel time to get you back home so that you receive the full days of home time before your next haul.
After completing the Driver Training School will I have to team?
Yes, new students are required to team for a combined 240,00 miles which is approximately 6 months. You each will make $0.18 per mile. If you drive 17,000 miles in one month, you and your teammate will receive an extra $.03 per mile on all 17,000 miles. After you've reached the 240,000 miles you can begin driving solo. If you qualify for the refresher program you are allowed to drive solo immediately.

Team driving ??! After driving school, u gotta team with someone who u gotta get to know just to become a solo driver ????!!
Or do u team with the trainer ? Just came from their website / driving school link , it sound like a condriction to me , anyone can help me clear that up , please ??! Just threw me for a loop and dip !!Fuffster Thanks this. -
Thanks for the help. But that's my point. As a solo driver, it's impossible to drive 240,000 miles in six months. And are you with a driver for the whole 6 months.

It appears and I do not drive for them that all team miles are counted. So your 240,000 is awake or asleep.
The $58 a day is interesting as that just happens to be the per diem you can deduct.
I see their trucks and their drivers appear to be happy enough.
No company will over pay a new driver. Learn all you can and move on if it isn't the right fit but you should be able to do 6 months to a year standing on your head.
