Also only gets updated once a year. My GPS is updated multiple times a month. Does your paper also have fuel stops, rest areas, walmarts, and every other poi you can think of?
-
Oh, you're right. I didn't have a truck GPS, so I never knew where to get fuel. I never fueled up. Just let the universe take care of it. And I had no Qualcomm, so I didn't have macros to help me figure anything out, and I didn't have a DM to tell me what I needed to do... and yet, I don't feel left wanting in spite of any of that. Well, slap my ### and tell me I'm way too easy if that isn't something.
-
Not saying it can't be done, just easier with tools.
-
I've never had an atlas direct me over a bridge with a 10 ton weight rating, a low overpass, or through suburbs.
Can't say the same for gps.
An atlas should be required equipment for every truck, and anybody that doesn't know how to properly read one is not a driver that I'd want behind the wheel. -
I've never had a GPS route me over a 10 ton bridge either, cause once I see the sign I choose a different route.
-
And the atlas does have wrong info in it. It's been proven.
-
If you're spouting off about the gps, it's stupid that the thing would route you over the bridge at all if it KNEW it had a low weight rating, so that'd still be a fail. -
Cry to your dispatcher about how you got bound up on a dirt road by following your gps and see how much water that holds. -
Red Hot Mess Thanks this.
