Wireless just means there is no cord connecting the computer to the printer like in the "old days" and Bluetooth means you can print from smartphones, ipads, etc etc..im guessing someone can correct me if im wrong..281ric Thanks this.

You must have a good signal in order to print stuff.
281ric Thanks this. -
UNLESS your using the bluetooth method.
wifi and bluetooth are both wireless. but wifi requires internet. or some type of wireless router.281ric Thanks this. -
Wireless is just that, a connection with no wires. There are 2 main types of wireless connection. Bluetooth, and WiFi. Bluetooth is a short range (maybe 15 to 20 ft max) direct point to point (device to device) technology that does not require any other equipment. WiFi is a network based technology that has longer range (can be as far as 200ft or more) but generally requires a device to act as the central connection point and traffic cop for the flow of data, typically a Router or Hub or Mobile Cellular WiFi Hotspot such as a Verizon Jetpack. Bluetooth is the most direct and easiest solution for in the truck. Most printer manufacturers now sell at least one Bluetooth capable printer. Most will require the downloading and installation of an App for your phone to allow easy use of the Bluetooth connection.
Dieselboss and 281ric Thank this.
