night 2 my truck is still not done and its only here for a bservice, I did not like driving this volvo at all, ac doesnt work, radio doesnt work, no cb and I was in a traffic jam not being able to figure out what was going on. Its also a 10 speed which took me a bit to get used to and im still not used to the downshifting with it. I had to go scout for my truck to get a few belongings out of it. Planner said shop sent an email its supposed to be ready by 1500 but we will see, seems lathrop has turned into another crap long waiting shop, this is definitely one that should be turned into a 24/hr shop.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but that will be a preventable accident complete with LCQT and go on your CSA as a crash.

Just getting into the sleeper berth after a vampire shift, starting in Connecticut and delivering a drop and hook in Worcester, MA... to a warehouse that required a U-turn on a 4 lane road??? Wow.
Got that load dropped and hooked to an empty, then it was off to Philadelphia to do another drop and hook. First time in a LONG time running the I-95 through New York. Good thing this was in the middle of the night. The only excitement was trying to pull into a rest area in Connecticut. Once into the ramp I was committed to running a gauntlet of poorly parked trucks, at one point I had 1" clearance to get into a parking space.
After getting our trailer in Philly I headed out west to get onto I-76. We're headed for delivery in Compton, CA... then taking home time.
Looks like we'll be running north of the worst weather, getting through Columbus, St. Louis, KC, then running the 54 to Tucumcari, NM and hook up with the I-40 to Barstow.
I hope everyone is safe out there. Early this morning on the I-76 I came across a very bad wreck, a Fedex truck and an independent pulling a box. All the boxes were either cut in two or in bits and pieces. Both tractors were in bad shape. I'll be surprised if there isn't at least one fatality.
Be safe. -

well, in my 35 years of driving, this is not my first accident, so not too concerned about it. very minor incident with little damage.

I-80 in WY at a J.
My current home time request is for the 10th, and my current load gets me ~70 miles away on the morning of the 7th.
So I messaged my DM saying that since I'm so close I'd like to go ahead and go home.
Asked if I could get a load to t-call at Inver Grove, or possibly deadhead up.
He said to deadhead and asked when I wanted to return.
Sent back, I was thinking of 04/11 1200.
OK, your PTA has been set.
I'm so spoiled. -
