So the refrigerator people come in and show me how to get to their dock which you can't see because it's actually a garage with and garage door and the garage thing I was parked at is actually 13'7 so backed around behind building and hit thier dock that you can't see. They got m3 off loaded at 545 am and I went 40 moles to trk stop I hate it cause it was to far to drive od. So now instead of waiting like 4 hours for 10 reset now have 10 to wait so on a fri cant roll 600 pm not seeing a load till tomorrow. But hey we got paid today and I will say it was above 2 grand and this sharing this for outside readers that you can make money here at Abilene.

I think Dennis (payroll) has had a very bad day! I heard they used a new payroll system (not sure if that's the correct term) and everyone's pay was a bit screwy. I know mine was. I have it set up for 80% in my checking and 10% on my card for use out on the road. Well, I only got $10.00 on my card, not 10%. Tried to get in touch with Dennis, but never could get him. Guess he was pulling his hair out since the first time I called, the person that answered the phone said he was trying to fix everything. I won't be able to tell what's what until I get to the yard to get my check sometime Sunday on the way HOME. BTW, I've also heard they are going to be using email for our settlements in the near future. Thank heavens! It's about time they got that! From what I understand, they've been saying that for 2 years. As for the new trucks, I think they should be going to the drivers that have seniority and the teams and their old trucks going to the next in line and so forth. Just my 2 cents. Sorry if the newer folks don't agree. I personally don't want to move trucks. I like mine, but I know eventually it will be up for trade. It only has 410,000 miles on it!

Yes they do have a new pay provider I was on the yard today they no longer use ADP, instead the issuer is Paychex Also Johnathan was out on the yard #### chatting we no longer deliver to "Blue&White" in Long Island city,NY. Damaging to much of our equipment didn't wanna keep wasting money to fix fuel tanks on reefers. In other news the drivers lounge is open just no furniture yet.

Wonder if Jonathan is working this weekend? Hope so. Looking forward to getting home before 10 pm Sunday. Higgins usually has me down to the last minute of my time before getting to the house!

Thanks Sam, shortly a mod will be by and read this, then I'm pretty sure they will delete it along with banning you and your junk mail. But before they do, do you have any questions about Abilene or what it takes to go through just one day associated with trucking? Probably not, but hey, thanks for stopping in.

I agree with on the new truck stuff. My truck only has 416000 on it and in between shop visits it runs really good. I really like it. It wouldn't be so bad if while in shop we could at least watch a teal tv with more than 2 channels while truck getting fixed. I know we can go to hotel but that's a hassle getting there and back. Even with all my truck issues I still averaging 3400 miles a week thru 6 weeks. Told you RC you jinxed me. Lol.

Dont mean to sound sarcastic but one less customer in the Ny/Nj area to me is actually a good thing. Besides we have way more freight than drivers right now which is always a good thing for drivers.

Anyone know the steer axle weight rating on the Volvos? I have been in a Mack and kept it strictly to 12,000 and under. In fact, I constantly had to slide the fifth wheel back to keep it under. Seems like it's a little heavier in the Vlolvos.

The Volvos will be anywhere from 11,900 to 12,700. On average 12,300.

Your absolutely right on JB. As long as I'm under 12900 on my steers I don't worry about it. I've got pulled in scales in la, ms, and in and over 12000 on steers and never had an issue in none of the states where its 12000 limit on steers
