I started getting an air leak on my air dryer. It's on a large "nozzle" coming out of the air dryer. I replaced the air dryer about a year ago. Not sure if they have a kit where I can repair the gaskets and o-rings (never done it before) or if I'll need to replace the whole air dryer again. I'm guessing the nozzle is full of gunk from the road.
Thank you in advance for any help/tips.

Depends on the brand of air dryer. I have a Wabco on my trk.
You can get rebuild kits for them. Just remember to be ready for the spring to pop out on you and watch which way you put the washer in. So pay att. when you take it apart.. -
do you replace the filter on the dryer to keep the valve clean
-
depending on the model you can replace both the cartridge, and the spitter or purge valve assembly.

I don't remember which type of air dryer I have. I'll check once I park. I haven't replaced the filter

We had one that was just giving us trouble, replaced the purge valve and still had trouble. Took it apart again and the check valve where the air goes from the dryer to the tank was shot. The purge valve and check valve were both around $50, and a new filter was $70 I think, we decided to just install a while new unit, original price from Volvo was $345, but they agreed to match a local competitor at $280. Ours was a wabco.

Mine went this week down in Tenn.....I had a wabco dryer. The shop I was in got me a re-man bendix out of Nashville for $211.With labor, total was $300. Pretty good deal in my books.
