Very bad advice, the 2nd one can break the first due to extreme heat and friction. :)

Nothing to add, I would hope you don't get a gun in your window.

Back in the early 90's I was getting set up to get my truck full of cheese hijacked in Philly, a company driver for the company happened to see what was going on and told me to get out of there, I followed him to my del. and boy , was that a bad area. Also as the saying goes, it's better to have a gun and never use it then having to use a gun and never having one........

If someone pulled a gun and demanded your truck and load, let them have it. There hasn't been a load yet worth dying over. How far are they going to get anyway? The FBI would be looking for them along with all police agencies.

Don't try to be a hero. You aren't making that much money driving trucks anyway.

Cbicago and New Jersey have passed laws that make it legal to spray a poison into someone's face and mouth?

Might be better off getting mace or bear spray. You might also want to Google "wasp spray urban myth" and check into the legality of using a poison as a weapon. It is illegal in quite a number of states.

when defending your or loved ones life, nothing is illegal.

The whole idea of having a weapon/firearm is for no one to know you have one til it's needed...rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6 , or be UN-employed instead of lying in the hospital or worse.

You hit the mark 'olhand. Guns are a no-no and my PR-24 is too long,But I do carry a little "thing-a-ma-jigger" close at hand, I think its called a SAP just in case.

The answer to the original question will always be 2 sided, those who have had problems will say "yes"
And those that have not had any problems will say "no".
If you do decide to carry some "big iron" make sure you know all the do's and don't s. My wife and I both have concealed carry permits but, in 28 years of working on the road I fortunately have not had to need a side iron, but I still have that legal option for most places.

Guns are no different than any other tool. Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. I carry everywhere I legally can. It makes no difference whether I THINK I'll need it or not. I don't plan on flying through my windshield but I wear my seatbelt. I don't plan on my house flooding, but I have insurance for that. Nobody whether it be a hijacking, robbed at gunpoint, or threatened harm by multiple people those people didn't PLAN on that happening. Simply staying in "safe" areas does nothing. But people have the right to gamble with their life if they see fit.
