If you believe anything that comes out of Bentonville you are already a lost cause. The bodies of good guys are stacking up at the feet of the legal team, many with knives sticking out of their backs. May sound dramatic but its true,so you go ahead and eat their BS just dont be suprised in the future if you fall victim to one of these policies. Having an in cab cam that watches what hapoens outside is one thing, one that will allow OP's to watch a driver behind the wheel is what you need to worry about. It may come to the only true privacy you have will be behind your sleeper curtain. The mega carriers with in cab cams have a large majority of morons to manage,I guess now as long as we are treated the same as a swift driver things are peachy.

My whole reason for joining this forum was to help fellow CA drivers that might not be aware of the pending class action. There are many that never got the letter from the attorneys office, then again many did and have decided to opt out because they are afraid of possible retaliation from Bentonville. It was never my intention to fight with fellow Wallys,we obviously have our own ideas and levels of trust.

AGAIN just abide by the policies you will be fine. Its there world where just living in it no one is holding you or myself hostage. If you cant handle the rules they put in place the door is open to walk out. I dont like the rules but i do like my six figure annual salary so I abide by them. I am done with this topic......

and the cameras dont run all the time only activated when a critical event goes off .A green light comes so you know when its recording. So stop act like they would be monitoring you the whole time.

I get it... you are one of the good old boys and I salute you but those days are over you have to accept my friend...

The safety manager here in Sealy had no problem whatsoever with me having my own black box camera in the truck.

The cameras can be a witness to ones innocence, provided that person drives like a professional safe driver. The reverse is true when bad habits of driving are exposed.

Walmart Transportation has been ahead of the curve on safety for many years. Why now must they start looking at the private fleet as if we have the safety record of a lousy mega carrier who has a revolving door of drivers? Walmart has begun an advertising campaign to change its image with the American people. Why not start by touting the exceptional safety record of the private fleet in their advertising? The overwhelming majority of the public that do not know anyone driving here have no idea of the job we do on the road. Anyone who has a negative view of Walmart will more likely change their mind if hit with the truth and shown good service when in a store. I personally rarely shop at a Walmart because the service is terrible. I may spend a few dollars more at a different store, but it is because that store has earned my loyalty with exceptional service and quality products.

Two weeks ago a Walmart driver from Searcy was killed in an accident. I questioned what part of the OnGuard/Wingman system may have played in the accident being catastrophic. My comments and details of the accident are on a different thread.

Yeah, I read where you mentioned that. I've been looking for an update but I doubt there will be one.
None of the news stories about the crash mentioned the On-guard system. I, too, would like to know if it was a contributory factor.

The only update I have since the accident is that the driver was in a Freightliner Cascadia that was equipped with the OnGuard system. We may never know what role the OnGuard system played in the accident because the tractor was destroyed and burned right down to the frame of the tractor. I personally remain suspicious of the OnGuard system playing a role. The media likely does not even know about the OnGuard system on board, so no surprise they failed to mention.

Hey Calwally, Gizmo here. I kinda started this thread when I was terminated from Walmart after 23 years of service. I have not heard of the Cal suit. Could you expand on its reason a bit. I would like to no more. Thanks for your post and reasons responses to others. Blessings, Gizmo.

Gizmo if you go to my Calif lawsuit thread I kind of sum it up in the first post. Tom had some great stuff posted at the end. Im aware of your situation and your included when I say that Bentonville has really stepped over the line regarding terminations.

If you are in a non test program facility, this is true but they still have the option of pulling your records for non preventable accidents...safety mans option. You can also have records pulled at any time walmart requests it. If you refuse...bye.
