Anyone can truthfully answer this question about this company please please help me !!!

After you finish celadon driving school , and you begin to do the 240,000 miles that required by them , do you go out with a trainer or do they have u team up with someone to finish the required miles ?? Anyone can ease away the doubt in my mind because its beginning to affect the decision making .... Thanks

 

Newbie--You have a choice to do 240,000 miles or 120,000 miles. After you get your CDL you go with a trainer for about 6 weeks. Then you team with someone until you reach 120,000 miles about 6-7 months), then you get your own truck or team with someone (your choice). Get that app filled out--the process only took 3 days for me to get approved. They need drivers. I start class April 14. I'll be flying in from southern California--almost all the way across the country. Wrap it up Newbie and just fill out the app and get the process going. You too could start April 14! I hope to see you there my friend.

 

I hope so too my friend, and sometimes I wonder if I ever get to my dream of being a trucker / being able to begin a better life . sorry if i m venting its just feel stuck in a rutand not getting anywhere. Not feeling all that successful or fulfilled in life .

newbie----we have choices in life. If you want to be a trucker you have to fill out the online application and get the process started. If you don't fill it out you will not be a trucker. It's that simple. We can all get in a rut sometimes but you have to pull yourself out and be proactive. The choice is totally up to you and your destiny is completely up to you. I would encourage you to fill out the application immediately. It will only take you 15 min or so to complete.

 

newbie--what did life do to put a delay in the highway that is life?? Sorry but I don't understand that statement. Please explain. You know, this whole thing about becoming a trucker is totally laid out for you. The offer is out there for the taking. BUT, you have to say that you want it and the way you say it is to fill out the application. You have to do that to become a trucker. So you have to decide if you want it or not. It's a decision that you have to make and then act on it. Can't be any simpler. If you get your CDL you will have a job with Celadon.

 

Sonex7, i understand where u are coming from . yes its a choice to be a proactive person or contuine to just sit on the sideline and watch others do what i should be achieving . to pull yourself up and stand on your own two feet and say i did this, i can make it . to me thats my dream my heart desire to succeed again in life once more . i have been waiting and praying that i will be able to return to what I used to be . its been three years since i had a job . that's past now , gotta focus on the future of my dream .. I just don't wanna waste anymore time . another year , miss out on another opportunity for me....

Sorry but i had to unleash my feelings somewhere . i just want my licsense i lost over the years, get them and make that move to celadon . i like celadon for a lot of things that the other carriers dont have. .

 

Hi Swamprat---I'm set to start April 14. I'm in California so they are flying me out---I would expect to leave over next weekend sometime. I have to call tomorrow and check the status of my ticket. Yeah, it would be great if my brother would come aboard but I'm not holding my breath. He's been out of work for several years and just had to take out a $4500 line of credit to continue eating, rent, etc. I remember reading somewhere that when a person has been out of work for a year or longer, the chances are nil that person will ever be gainfully employed again. It's sad but I think my brother is in that boat.

My recruiter sent me link to Truckingtruth.com and they have an actual program for the CDL to give us a headstart in class. I set a goal to get througth the rest of it this week (my last week home for awhile) My name is Russ and I will look to you in class.
