Call the shipper or the receiver ask what to do, then drop the trailer and go to the nearest motel and wait for the to call you

You know they should somehow require people to read all of the posts before being allowed to respond. Good lord some of the advice is unbelieveable.

I hope it works out for you Flatbedsurface. Yes you made a mistake but that doesnt give your company a right to hang you out like that.

I personally not sure where you are at or which scale, it's Sunday night, depending on where you are at and the route you need to take if nobody is home at the scale I would high tale it out of there and skip around any other scale. It's definetly risky, and could get into huge trouble but if you can make it and not get caught consider it lesson learned.

i had been put out of service not for overweight but for hauling oversize and not having proper permits, it was on a Saturday and had to run and make it to the Idaho border, I made it fortunately, and avoided fines etc... (Again lesson learned lmao)

you between a rock and a hard place....either way you look at it you looking at a good chewing just how much you end up paying out of pocket in the long run is the part that will really hurt

First off, are you a company driver or a o/O? Your company should be able to assist you. Since ur only 2 k over, they should be able to send a pick up truck to carry the additional. No need for a strait truck. Was the lumber wet? There is a chance you could loose 1910 in drying. I once had a lumber load that grossed me at 79800 (cat scale). It the rained and I scaled at 84,300. (over week-end) I waited a day of sunshine (yesterday) and scaled 79600 the next morn. Wate weight can be huge on lumber.

He has answered that question several times.

How do these guys get their cdl's if they cannot either read or comprehend the English language?
