Good luck to all the new drivers hitting the road. One tip, start applying for your travel center reward cards while out with your trainer so you can start accruing points and showers right away when you get your own truck. Especially the one for TA as that one must be sent to you in the mail, they will give you a temp one but it is a pain to use. Apply for the TA card at the redemption kiosk.

 

HTQ i was home for 1 and 1/2 days but last time I had real home time was 1-12. So the wife is looking forward to me being home at least until I throw my socks in the wrong direction.

Gamma stay strong on the not leasing. I smoke if you don't mind that inbox me and I will give you info if you would like me to train you. I try to show everything when I train may not be the best but I do try.

I was ready to go back out 4 days ago. Brother's loan hasn't come thru yet. Don't know what he's going to do when it does. Know I can't hang here any longer. Ready to be back in my own little private place, where I can do what I want, when I want AND, to not have access to so much beer!!! lol

I don't see too many tractor trailers, mostly long (maybe 40') straight trucks that they WAY over load. Wait, scratch that. Driving here is crazy! No formal driver training, minimal licensing procedures, I think most on the road have no license at all. Trucks, buses, cars, taxis, motorbikes, stray dogs and goats, venders with push carts all sharing the same road. I have seen more than one 12ish year old driving a motorcycle cart. I don't know how truck drivers can put up with doing their job.

Maybe better if you come and just kick back!

I did have a reputation at work for being....ummmm.....a bit....well let's just say they probably felt like I wore combat boots.....And the best part was they had to bow and answer "Yes, mam" or address me by my rank. Okay, your right ....you probably wouldn't like me as a dispatcher! Boy, do I miss those days!

 

That's a long time to be away, jaso. How long will you get to be home this time? I know your wife misses you. I am glad you have home time scheduled.

Now Panhandle you are a different story ....it's time for you to go back to work! It has been waaaay to quiet around here with you on home time. Pete and I try to keep everyone stirred up and riled up .....but we're gettin' old and we need all the help we can get!
