maybe contemplating his next move.you know, the Missouri DOT at that scale may be wondering why he is still hanging out.OP needs to converse w/them and ask what his options are.Bluntly.Phrase the question differently.ask when they will allow him to at least hang out at the truck stop.tell DOT to come by and check on him at the truck stop(happened to me in La.during an OOS for my logs.think it surprised him that i was still there but hey,i needed the ten).

OP-do something and post it. someone on here may can help you more from that.light that fire man-

Had one tell me something similar, said "im going to leave here in an hour when I go off duty and drive off into the sunset, what you do then is up to you but I dont ever want to see you again". My foot was shaking on the pedal all the way passed the state line.

I would tell them I was dropping the trailer and would bobtail to the nearest truck stop amd would wait there until a decision was made. Not ask them. Tell them. If they threaten termination simply say well you do what you have to do

I'm with cowmobile. I got stopped in MI by DOT and weighed at a rest area. Said I was over gross(wasnt had a weigh ticket from the mill scale) full inspection ran me out of hours and gave me a overweight ticket then left. Kept my license because i didnt have 100 for security. Took my ten off and left went to yard got another legal weigh slip. Phoned down to the dot magistrate in mi drove back down in company car and paid the ticket in full on the spot and got my license back. Asked the magistrate whether I should have left or not( had two 43,000 lbs coils on so I wasnt going to u/l them) He gives me a grin and says"well that guy wasn't going to stop you again.Plus you were on your way to get it fixed werent you?:biggrin_25525:" was kind of funny but not 400$ worth of funny.

There are some of us here tryin to help you O.P. and realize you've only been doing this for 0-1 years as your profile says.."Welcome to the World of Trucking" eh.... but don't be shy..Say what your thinkin...Some may razz you-pay no attention to "them" and let us help or if nothing else..PM those you think can..To have little experience and have this happen-would have to suck..if it comes to it DAC be dammed-you WILL be able to find another job. Don't be entertainment for an obviously inept dispatch and support crew at your home terminal ....

In Missouri being convicted of violating an oos order is a 90 day disqualification. Being out of work for 3 months seems super manly.

Seems like tossing 1910 lbs of lumber off the trailer would be the sensible thing to do. If a shortage is discovered upon delivery, shrug your shoulders and tell them to file a claim. Oh, and be sure to get that scale ticket showing 80K. I mean, the Amish surely wouldn't have tried to get you to haul an illegal load, would they? ;)

actually tell the scale house staff that there may be some lumber stacked neatly in any area they choose and the op can go from that point.I am betting they'll offer up some advice if op asks.they are tired of looking at his boyd bro truck-

If I remember correctly, the OP stated the axle weights were good and he was just over on the gross. Well if that is the case, cough up the money for an overweight permit and roll on. Forgot all about this till just now.

AH.. forgot about the divisible load crap.... Back to my uhaul suggestion
