I'm buying a new trailer this time. I don't see the cost difference as all that great...yes, you can get old beat up trailers for $10,000, but you can also get a brand new one for $25000 and not worry about it for a long time. Payment is not going to be that much more, no problems, new tires, brakes...think in the long run it's the best way to go. But I'll let you know in five years....

In this trailer market, unless you get a smoking deal from a buddy, new is the way to go. It really doesn't matter what type of trailer either. I sold my 5 year old stepdeck a year and half ago for a couple grand less than it was new. Your new van, if spec'ced right will most likely have a similar return if prices keep going up. I would HIGHLY recommend a PSI inflation system. It is worth way more than it costs in the terms of tires.

Thanks, I intend on doing that. Biggest was plate or post, think will go with post...a bit less and understand that plate trailers won't allow stacking, which at times is needed.

Can you use a 53” dry van if one of the doors is completely missing but the other door can be secured?
-
Why yes of course, but then it does depend on what you plan to use it for. lol

Sure just run over to your local lowes or home depot and frame in the other side.Bakerman Thanks this.
