I think one of the biggest benefit I see by flatbedding is the physical demand. Staying in shape and active is an important part of my life and at my age I did all the help I can get...lol...as for as the dirt, cant be any dirtier than the sand box......
Thanks for your advice

I agree about the physical part. Staying in shape is always a benefit. Just gotta like what you're doing is all!

Had my travel agent call me and asked me if I would go to a yacht club and pick up a boat. "What kind of a boat?" She didn't know any details (they never do). So, I called the shipper, who of course, couldn't give me dims. So, I grabbed a stretch Rgn and went out to see the boat. Since I was going to a yacht club, I thought that it would be a yacht. Turned out to be a tugboat. Still in the water, as you can see.
next morning, the crane showed up. They picked it out of the water and put it on my trailer. It was over 14ft wide, near 30 ft long and near 20 ft tall with the house on. Thankfully, when the house was taken off, it dropped the height tremendously. The shipper hooked a pump to it and pumped water out of the hull. I ordered permits, pilot cars, did my homework, double checked the route and hammered out of there. Wasn't a difficult haul at all, it was just the first time I'd ever hauled a tugboat. Yes, it can be an aggravation, but it's NEVER dull.Heysunshine Thanks this. -
