I'm not sure when the last time my sanity was actually calm and relaxing anyway lol.

I hope they catch this Kansas City maniac soon! That is scary as hell to think about, with all the normal dangers of driving gotta add sniper psycho to the mix? Stay safe out there everyone going through the area!
On your good note, I'm glad the weather map is good! We here in southwest Arkansas got some winds strong enough to knock one of the massive lights down at the high school football stadium, thank goodness nobody was injured, smashed one car and the lady in it was within inches of getting hurt, I'm sure she needed some clean underwear after that though!

No ...He's heading toward Panhandle land.:biggrin_2559:
Other drivers are posting about Texas today .....several different areas that they are doing full inspections.

Are you back in your home base, Pete? The dispatcher I was trying to think of the other day when we were talking was Travis ....I'm a little slow but I eventually remember. I wonder if he is still with TransAm? I haven't heard him mentioned in a long time.

Last year they had some sniper shootings in the same area, to my knowledge they never caught them. So I am assuming it is the same person ....they just took a winter break. I'm with you, ajacks .....hope they catch them soon.

Welcome, dennisroc. It's been several years since my husband went through orientation at TransAm, and things can always change, they do a drug test but there is no actual physical at orientation. You are required to have all of that before you go to training. Orientation has also changed since the King was there but gamma recently posted about it and I have tried to put some information on our blog....www.roadmaptota.blogspot.com
The blog can give you a good general idea about TransAm. We did the blog in an effort to help prospective and current drivers find the information that they need. It isn't just for current drivers and is open to anyone so feel free to check it out and look around.

IM ALIVE!!!!!! I swear Im alive!! Just been holed up and grinding. Churning out good miles in preparation for hometime. Been all over in the last two weeks. IA to IL to PA to AR. Just got a swap deliveting at 0400 in Indianola, MS. Got dispatch making calls to see if they can get me unloaded in tonights receiving block. If my DM says go, I will be hauling butt. Otherwise deliver as scheduled then go home!

Hubby and my first wedding anniversary is Tuesday. When I get home we are going to the gun store and ordering part of an AR-15 he's building. And he surprised me by ordering an ecig mod Ive been drooling over. I know about that because there was a hiccup in the order at first and he went ahead and told me and he knows about the gun part cause I cant just order it myself. But we are both happy, lol.

Life is good on the trucking front too. Still determined to buy this dang truck. She's settled into a nice run where a bad day has been 7mpg lately. Cant complain!!
