Oh really? If that is the case then why aren't FMCSA shutting these companies down that gets warnings after warnings, run illegal, their drivers gets placed oos,FMCSA has thousands of complaints but yet those carriers are still operating.Drivers are always sueing companies.I sued a trucking company.I received a settlement because that carrier settled out of court. His safety rating was at 100%.This guy is still operating. If FMCSA was so much looking out for the driver then this guy would have been shut down long ago. These laws in place is all about revenue and nothing more.

Canada?
I would ask the Canadian labour ministry on this issue. I remember seeing something about making people punch out when waiting in a company newsletter where I used to work (they had several manufacturing plants in Canada).
You can take this advice, when ever you punch in and work, you are on the clock (on duty/driving) until you are relieved of your duties as a worker. This means that if you log off duty, you are done working and can go home. If they think that they can play with the numbers, then there are a number of labour laws that will force them to stop. -
So what is the name of this outfit?
