Don't let these ops ppl push you around learn the policy and force their hand. These big corporations slit their own throats with policy and red tape.

Unfortunately, drivers (rather, stupid drivers) caused the red tape and regulations.
Our ever increasingly litigious society, who see truckers as rolling ATM's don't help.
IN an effort to reduce risk and minimize financial exposure, due to accidents and small claims. Large companies have had to take on the role of overseer and micromanage the employees to the nth degree. Making it ever harder to make a living.

Been with CTL for a year now. Like any job some days are better than others. However, seems to be more good than bad. I ran printing presses for 20 yrs and was underpaid. So I picked up a second job in at Target in the stock room. Worked 60-80 hours a week between both jobs for 37k total a year. A below average week with Conway I bring home what used to take two jobs to make. Averaged out over the year I work less and make 10-15k more per year than before. I've been able to start paying down my debt and start saving. IMO that is pretty good compared to barely making ends meet and always stressed and just colapsing from exhaustion every night. I'm treated with respect by everyone at the terminals and I'm allowed to make decisions that I wasn't at other companies. I never have to fight with maint if I need a repair. Had a four wheeler call the company claiming I hit them. When they accually came into my lane. They had my back. Yes, I had an accident go onto my record but it was listed as nonpreventable. Because I did nothing wrong! A lot comes down to your attitude. My dispatcher has given me compliments on my preformance. I don't expect a pat on the back but, it sure feels good to get one once in a while. That is my experiance so far. I'm happy, making good money and moving in a good direction to become an O/O some day.

You are not impotant enough to answer the phone for.
You are the driver. You have your instructions.

I say this in jest of course. Since too many office rats forget that the driver is the one who actually does the work to get the bills paid.

There's always the never ending supply of those that have been "bee essed" into believing that one must adhere to live by that ol' macho rule: Real men never complain, and real men take whatever they're given. To hell with the torpedoes, I say! After all, you and only you are totally responsible for your own life's results!
Think you're being taken advantage of? Not a reasonably fair deal, you say? Hey, it's all about attitude; probably your own shortcomings are the real issues here.
And then; life happens while you're busy making other plans.
Live a few more years on the blue orb.
Is it possible that the ideal of courage that the machos value so highly is really about looking inside instead of out?
Some o' them jokers with the grey in their temples just may know a couple things.

Joe's just mad because the thread he started bashing and complaining about this company has helped some folks decide to go work there. I have some gray in my temples... I have seen and done a few things, heck, I've even circumnavigated the globe. Move on Joe. As Oddball once said "Why don't you knock it off with those negative waves?!?"

Kelly's Heros quote for the less cultured!

    Who said anything about culture?
Been lookin' for some of that all me life.
Now, back to something a bit more positive...
Why is it that slowly..... but surely... all youse Conway Truckload defenders are all going away?
Dropping like flies; joining the 98% that have already skedaddled?
Seems like, over the past year, I'm just about the only one left to write about the deeds (dirty or otherwise) at this beloved establishment. And I left a long time ago.
Still dealing with all that goldanged PTSD; Instead of Dinks in the perimeter, I see pings on my Quallcomm.
Us humans is such funny creatures, we is. We all hate to hear the truth, so we make up stories (I hear the cultured refer to it as bee ess) to enlighten our fuzzy wuzzy.
But as always, the truth always wins over time.
Good luck in advance to your future without Conway, all you dwindling holdouts!
But I do wish you good luck and prosperity.
Now, go out and earn it.
    Ciao!
