I graduated today guys. I hit the road on sunday apparently. I chose per diem and rand mcnally practical miles. I'm not sure about health ins yet. It doesn't sound like the best deal, but it isn't all that bad either taking that hsa into consideration. I believe my trainer runs regional...mostly between St louis and Ga he says.
They added 3 other guys with previous experience to our orientation...so there were 7 of us students that graduated and them.

Congrats..We will be following your training with the trainer. Do you get a choice Regional or OTR? Is that one of the ways the select your trainer or can your training be regional but once Solo your OTR? thankseurotrash Thanks this.

I'm not on the road yet. I should be by sundayGa Dawg141 and bigred81 Thank this.

From what they told us...it all depends what they have available at the moment...but most students without any experience can count on being otr at first. Once you get some experience, it shouldn't be a problem to transfer to regional, that's if there is availability. That's what we were told at least.

One of the Millis drivers came by today when we were on our break, kinda badmouthing the company. I guess no company will ever make everyone happy...
-
Chances are he would not be happy if Millis paid his weight in GOLD.

Congrats! Good luck and stay safe! Classes start for me on Monday in Cartersville!eurotrash Thanks this.

Islandhopper, How would you know that? the driver may have a valid reason.
-
Solo seat your right. He may of had a valid reason. I guess I got use to seeing guys on truckers report having nothing good to say but are mostly negative about the industry. I hope to stay positive or move on to another way to provide with my family. In the military, you always had the #####ers and moaners and they were never happy. I assumed this guy may have been one of those..my bad!!sapamil Thanks this.
