Chicago load is better than i thought. mileage was cut to 287 total cause the messed up on the computer so instead of going to West Chicago it went to Chicago Hts. Makes me feel better about the rate.

Came home for home time this weekend and an appointment this morning. Dragging my trailer to Fort Wayne for an alignment so I can fun first thing Monday.
-
The trailer is supposed to do that..... Mine tracks a hair to the right too. Straightend out a bit after sliding tandems a few times. Check your fifth wheel grease it helps too.
Bigdubber Thanks this. -
A bit to the right isn't 3/4 of a tire off... tried all the tricks. Bloody thing measures 1/2" out of alignment close as I can measure.
-
You did measure with both shoes on right? one shoe and measurement is off.

Do those new CES trailers have skirts or other aero upgrades? What brand trailer? Recaps or virgin tread? If you guys don't mind and have a spare minute or so I would appreciate seeing pic or pics of the inside how it's spec'd. What kind of kick panels, the walls. Betting they spec'd it for durability and they would know - see different things from different companies there. Just curious. I'm sure it has logistics posts. I may be getting a new one within the next year if nothing changes that makes that unnecessary for a while. Want to get it right.

The ones I moved were similar to a duraplate but were Hyundai with no aerodynamic attachments and what appeared to be virgins
rollin coal Thanks this. -
The inside walls are what I was wondering about. Plywood really sucks as do rivets in said plywood that are not recessed. I can't remember if it was utility or great dane who advertises composite interior walls with snag free recessed rivets securing it. It's a small thing but not when rivets constantly get rubbed off it isn't, like what happens in mine. Metal kick panels down at the bottom sides suck also.
Just last night someone scooting racks managed to snag into the bottom of one of mine and curl up a razor sharp strip about a half inch wide and 18 inches long rolled up like a swirl. How the heck they managed that who knows? But I have seen destroyed composite kick panels also seems like it would be easier to repair though.
When Bill gave me this trailer it was already 6 years old and was an ex-fleet (fairly big fleet) but the interior was in great condition. These auto plants and suppliers beat the hell out of stuff. Not to mention one other select customer that I continue to haul for. I know they don't stay new forever and it's just equipment. Even so it still sucks when that stuff happens.Last edited: Apr 11, 2014
