Probably. I know they got a lot of trucks repoed, they rebranded as Western Refridgerated Services, and some of the drivers will be folded into R & R

 

Not surprising and good riddance.

Wow!!! I used to work there from 2010 to 2012. They werent that bad of a company until one of the sisters from the fam got sick then it all went down hill from there. At least from where I stood. But its funny...when I left in 2012...I told my friends and even the night dispatcher that I gave WST 1-2 years to stay in business. Why??!! Because they were an LTL reefer company with multiple stops that traveled 48 States on Elog. We hauled a lot of Tyson and Walmart loads. And everyone knows those 2 customers want their product on time. I was late a lot because of elog and wait times my self alone. A lot of guys were!! I thought something was going on with them because I saw some of their trucks on Truck Paper for sale out of MHC KW in Kansans City. But the funny thing about that is that the trucks still had WST decals on them and the Minn plates still on the trucks!!! Lol. Don't mean to make a joke out of it but I've never seen trucks for sale that still had the last companies info and plates still on them and up for sale. I don't want to see anyone lose their job. All in all...they treated me pretty good for what it was and I made some decent money.

 

Western star sounds like a they were one of those outfits who just kept changing names and door stickers every time they got caught by DOT.

 

They have not pulled the plug on their website yet.

Looks like they were also fined $90 million for a fatal crash. Settlement was in 2012.

 

Where was the crash does anybody know what happen?
