I heard they are mostly hand unload. They have some automatics. They turned me down cause i didnt have 6 months expirience. They told me the only way around that was to go to school on them so they could own your butt for atleast a year..Not sure if that is still their way of doin things..Other then that,I am sure you could do plenty worse.

What do I know about Hogan? Well, Ric Flair didn't like him very much. Heh, heh, heh. Anyway, I drove for their Fred's dedicated account out of Dublin, Ga. and had a friend drive for their Save-A-Lot division in Macon, Ga. Both paid good, but the Fred's had you unloading the truck by hand. Like a Dollar General account without the benefit of the Rolltaners. But I ran into some of the otr drivers and they didn't have many things negative to say. They do use autos, by the way. Also, you have to notify saftety if you are driving between 11p and 5a, I think that was it. Hope I gave you a little help.

I drive for Hogan right now. I've been there since November of 2007. I like them. I have a good relationship with my fleet manager and I get all the miles I want. I get home when I want. They own my butt because I went to MTC, but I enjoy myself! As far as companies go, I guess they are on the low end of the pay scale, but they treat me like a person, not just a number. I've never had to unload a truck....ever! If there was a situation where I might have to unload a truck, Hogan has footed the bill for me.
Guess everyone has different encounters though. -
i like the idea of not being "allowed" to drive between the hours of 11pm and 5am.
So, does this mean that you're work/sleep schedules are pretty consistent? In other words, are you pretty much sleeping during the same general hours each night and are you pretty much on duty during the same general hours each day? -
Hogan's equipment is in much better condition than it was when Carl owned the racing team. I was not impressed with the company whenever I loaded along side of them at Budweiser, St. Louis. Carl Hogan sold the racing team in 1999 and began to improve the trucking company that he inherited from his father. Carl Hogan died in 2001.
