Same thing, maybe minus the weigh distribution.

If I had the choice like the US guys do, I would definitely go with a glider. Pete or KW, just a matter of personal preference. Unfortunately in Canada we don't have that privilege and have to go with the latest EPA trucks.

As for the Volvo (in my signature). The truck was lightweight and very powerful, with all the aftermarket parts and tuning adding more to that. I pulled a 53' reefer east to west coast and averaged 7-7.5mpg. when loaded and 8-8.5mpg. when empty or lightweight, of course me driving it. Truck was tuned by my local "Diesel Spec" to pull like a freight train with maximum boost and fuel pressure each time I approached a hill. All in all, I can say I had a good luck with this truck. Sold it with 1.3 million original miles and it's still going strong with the new owner.

For my new application which involves off road driving and some harsh weather conditions I had to go with KW over other makers.

I've drove 2 W900's the last being an 07 model with a C15 Acert and 18 speed, the one before that was a 92 model with a 13. I prefer a Pete. KW's are heavy and in my opinion too wide. I hate that if you drop something in the floor board you almost have to stop and get it. Plus this new KW dash is less than desirable it seems like if you wanna reach the air suspension switch you had to to lean to hit the switch. Where as in my Pete's with the new dash it's finger tips away. The only thing I don't like about my 389 is where Pete has located the air valves since 2001. It seems like they expect you to use your foot and not your hands to hit the knobs. An old timer put the comparison to me like this, "You sit down in a Pete and get all comfortable. In a KW you sit way up like your ridin on too of it, if you pull up next to a Pete your looking over his head." The 07 model I drove had 280" WB and rode like a Cadillac but much like the guy out it to me I sat to high. I'm the type that rides with the chair on the floor.

I just turned 10k on my 389 glider. Wouldn't have anything else. All person preference though. Nothing wrong with a KW. I will say taller drivers tend to like the KW's more. I'm only 5'7 so I've got plenty of room regardless. A lot will depend a lot on how yours is spec'd. At least with a glider you should be able to build it as close to perfect as possible for whatever application your gonna use it

I am 5'10" and my seat had to be pushed passed the stop 1 click on my KW, i thought Pete's had more leg room then a KW?
