If the original question was on a road with lots of lights, then we've gotten off topic. If not, then I stand corrected. I spend a lot of time in this situation and have done some "experimenting" on my own. When forced on this type of road "slow and easy" is the way to go. With lots of lights you can get into cycle with the lights by accelerating slowly and adjusting to miss fewer lights this way, and regardless of cruising results, no one can argue that missing fewer lights is more efficient. Additionally, these roads are typically populated by loads of "my time is more important" types who are always in a hurry and oblivious to that huge mountain of metal you are in. Slower is safer! Anyway just one old jarheads opinion.
