Wow i,ll try ..,.you get to choose your truck either from arrow(seems spendy to me) or they do lease their older fleet trucks rates are all over the map out bound is 2.15 to 3.00 a mile including fsc had a week both my trucks ran over 2.50. But thats rare usually they kept me at about 1.65 to the truck all miles.....you pick your own outbound loads all backhauls usually run a triangle or right back to ks chicago hometime would be easy you set it
They dobhold a maint account but you can direct it they dont really oversee it much
Pay is 70% and 100% of fsc
Mpg thats kind of up to you the truck i bought from them showed 5.7 on the ecm when i drove it i was closer to 7 but we shall see what my driver does
My older preegr truck avgs 6.6 but its a little tired
And it is walk away with no credit report

bigdad7. Thanks, that was so very helpful. I'm getting ready to leave my company whom I have been with for three years. I saved some money over the years just for this. I just hope the maintenance isn't that bad from what I hear. I look forward to a new challenge. I hope they have a truck that can get me atleast six. I keep it around 65 to save fuel unless I"m running behind. Thanks again.

If you got money find a good pre egr truck ...older than 03 you will spend less on maint and get better mpg.....and to be totally honest our ca freight is the lowest paying you would make more running ks to il to ga and back to ks by a long shot and my truck with 1.5 million on the engine costsvme half as much on maint than my calif compliant truck

Do they have different type of trucks. I was thinking of international with a cummins engine or volvo. Its good to hear that ks to il to ga pays well. I hope the same is for tx as well, wouldnt mind going towards houston or anywhere in tx.

So there's no more broker loads at all?
Or do you still do your 2 terminal loads a month then after that your on your own? -
Not sure how that works

Thinking about leasing with cen cal transport a rrt owned division. Its all port work to Oakland and back to Fresno. Any in put would be helpful.
Thanks -
left roadrunner about 5 weeks ago, got my own authority. HOLY COW, I swear rrts pays brokers and other companies to lowball and stay low on backhaul freight so we take rrts's loads! I have been using a lot of the same brokers and I am making 37 percent per mile more with the same brokers taking many of the exact same loads. its like you give them(brokers) rrts mc# and the brokers are instructed to low, low, low pay and don't budge because rrts is paying them! another funny thing is I have been taking a lot of rrts freight still too. I have been grabbing the northeast junk no one wants to take on friday night/sat morning that pays good and have been charging them 25-75 percent more per mile and they have been paying it to get freight there.
so I work for rrts I got $2.25ish per mile northeast
NOW............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on my own rrts pays me $3.03(average) and the most I got was $3.92 per mile! THANK YOU RRTSNoobiDriver, mp4694330 and scottied67 Thank this. -
why to treat your drivers well, NOT!
