There's wind all the way down to fontana. I just left the phoneix terminal and there's wind all the way. Gusts up to 30 mph here in the flying j in thousand palms. Being rocked as I type!
As far as the 15 trailers there's at least 25 of them in Otay mesa when I was last there!![]()

Pulled one last week, a brand new Hyundai with the self adjusting (inflation) trailer tires. Very very nice.
-
I've pulled both Hyundai and Great Dane high 13**** trailers with the inflation system ... Like it ... I like the Hyundais ... someone was a genius with what they did with the license plate light ... Makes a great spotter for the rear of trailer when backing at night.

That's right!
I also liked their design for the landing gear. Solid, gears worked great on the crank, seems like it should last for years. -
I'm not crazy about the trailer door latches, however.
I haven't seen the 15 series yet, but with a lot of the latest 13 series the latches never seem to be aligned right.
And with many of them the landing gear crank is hard to turn, like they use a grease that is too thick. -
I noticed in colder weather that grease gets thicker and harder to crank as well. Sitting at the ta in Buttonwillow getting a steer tire replaced, noticed a bald spot while inspecting and it's wearing on one side probably needing alignment, guy just came out telling me their balance machine won't power on so if I want it balanced I have to hit the next ta to get it done. I am surprised how much parking is here that's open, might come here a little more often especially since they have a taco bell and a restaurant if I want something different, only downside they all close before I'm usually done for the night but can at least get lunch before heading out.

Here in Goodyear now. Pulled into to the fuel lane, he asked if getting fuel, nope, loaded, yes, going where, UT. Go ahead then. No inspection at all. Have they changed policies now. After done went to Wally World. I swear, I am a people watcher, and today, I could sit outside most of the day near one of the doors and just look and look.
Was sent a pplan and removed shortly after. PU tonight at 1800 at Home Depot, with my PTA 1000 tomorrow and drop in El Paso by 2000 tomorrow. Would have been great. I guess that either they saw my pta or Home depot needed it picked up by that time. Who know. I know that there should not be a problem getting a load tomorrow to El Piso.
Forgot to mention, saw a Swift O/O hooked up to a Central trailer, and at least 4 mt's there. Also I can not remember if I said this before, but Trans-Mex are now taking Central's trailers into Mexico. Not sure if loaded or not. -
Back in Jurupa Valley terminal (Mira Loma/Fontana) to wait for our dispatch tomorrow. The new terminal driver's lounge is NICE (clean). They don't have WiFi yet, but they are working on it.
