I'm over in Billings. This load Drops in Helena on Monday so i'll probably go sit over in Bozeman and visit a old friend. In this case it wasn't my 70 holding me back. Just not enough time to get there before they closed on Friday.

My weekly gross avg has dropped below my minimum goal of 1000 for 2014 at this point. Not sure how you figure i'm doing so good lol.

If this wasn't my first trucking job i would have quit already. I don't turn a key for less than $1000 a week. Especially not OTR. It's good experience though. I have experience in Inclement winter driving/Mountain Conditions now. I've pulled Flatbed's, Stepdecks's & Rgn's now. In 2.5 months i'll have my 1 yr of experience OTR.

It will get better from here I'm sure. You just switched dispatchers, he has to get to know you and how you can run for him. There's a lot of guys out there that consider 2500 miles a big week and hard running. Keep on pushing and as your reputation builds you'll get the better loads. My first year there were some weeks I would only bring in 6-800 gross otr. So yes you are doing better than a lot out here. To bump it up, ask for more Canadian freight, multiple drops ect. This week I only drove 2400 miles but because of drops, Canadian pay, tarp, ill be pulling down somewhere around 1500 gross for the week. Definately a better week than most but the extras add up fast. Next week ill probably be below 7-800 because of hometime. And keep on Brett. Poles are picking up now finally

I don't know your having a problem making money, I'm on Phoenix regional, I'm running more miles than you, and I don't complain because it does no good. If you can find a company in your first year that pays you like system take and quit being a chick about it.

I hear system is a real good company. ...only reason I didnt go when I was skateboarding is because every time I see them they have tarps on

I've been with a couple places before system and I've been really impressed with how I've been treated here. It can get to be a lot of tarping sometimes though lol. Sometimes ill get on a streak like the last few weeks where it will be all no tarp loads

    realsupatrucka and ramblingman Thank this.

They are a good place to work, I just sometimes get frustrated but that is mostly to do with being on the dedicated run. I made great money when I was OTR and ran hard. I tarped a bunch also though it was winter when I was OTR so idk about the summer time. I never seemed to get a streak of untarped loads maybe like 1 then run for 2 weeks then have another no tarp

Actually when I was OTR for like 6 months I saw Houston probably 3-4 times and seemed to always be delivering in Dallas or somewhere close to there. Saw lots of Texas

That's weird, I go through Houston quite a bit. We have a few big customers there.
