Denver guys go into Houston all the time and load pipe
-
I've delivered to Houston also.
-
How often do yall get here?
-
on the website it looks like the hiring area goes right above Houston but They might hire from there
-
Im not currently looking as of right now...but thanks....do yall have a oversize division?
-
No oversize fleet, but we do have a wind division and on the pole fleet I do a lot of over length.
realsupatrucka and ramblingman Thank this. -
3 days sitting now. Dropped in Helena this morning and then got sent down to stage in Butte for a genie. With the RGN i'm just over 40k empty. The Genie i'm picking up is 46k. So we agree that i'll need Over Weight permits and possibly OL depending on if i have to stretch it or not. I get to Butte and Dispatch tells me to sit here for the day as we can't load till tomorrow at 0900. I inquire upon compensation for this forced layover and the qualcomm is silent for the last 40 minutes...
I really wish companies would just ask you to quit instead of this whole we're going to starve you out ########. I have enough money to sit at home for the next year right now. I don't need to be wasting my time like this.
Well, i'm going to use all my free time today to start scouting out a new job. Anyone got any recommendations?... -
Have you tried calling him? Don't rely on the Qualcomm if you've got an issue then call.
Honestly dude, layovers happen no matter what company. Especially with rgn work. Just calm down and breath, give it time to settle out with the new dispatcher. Trust me on this, if you jump ship too soon it could wind up biting you in the #####. Every time you make any kind of change it will take awhile to figure out your pace and how you work with that dispatcher. Give it a good 90 days before you jump. And quite frankly if your upset over that, then you will be miserable at any other company out there. It happens everywhere. Dispatchers can't pull perfect 3500 mile weeks out of thin air, they are also working with what they are given.jomar68 and Mr.Shifter Thank this. -
He did respond stating that he was ''sure he could get me something''...
I'm not upset about a single layover. I'm upset about 3 layovers in a row directly after a day and a half layover on my last load. I'm not actually upset about any of the layovers though. I'm upset that i'm getting forced layovers and not being paid for them...
Most of all I'm Upset about this

At least until the end of this year. After that my minimum acceptable level will go up as i will be more valuable providing i don't crash between now and then.
