I drive 57-60 loaded and 60-65 empty. No reason to go fast.
-
Its not about experience....its guys that been driving 20 years still cant drive 800 miles in a day...and 800 is nothing but baby steps...but I dont run 85...I used to but now 72 through 75...I found out when u run fast like that its a waist of time because prime gets in the hammer lane and try to pass some one now im stuck doing 60 for 5 miles....money is my concern...not trying to get 7.5 fuel mileage....if you getting money you shouldn't have to worry about the lil change u a save in fuel...its a write off at so ill get it back any way...lease purchase guys worry about fuel mpg and o/o with cheap rates...or the .90cpm running guys
Dont see a need for governers except to keep the guys that dont know how to drive off their side and most of the time they still wind up on it... -
Honestly. ...at 57-60 how long does it take you to do 2k miles
-
About 2.5 weeks of m-f. Drove a whole 170 miles today took forever!
-
So, anyone that drives faster than 63mph is an idiot? There's waaaaay more idiots in governed trucks than non... If you want to clog up the interstate running slow then go for it but stay the hell out of the way and quit worrying about what everyone else is doing, until your name is on the side of their truck it's none of your ##### concern.. Not everyone needs to get 9mpg to make money...cowboy_tech and realsupatrucka Thank this.

So half the week? 10 hours60 is 600 miles a day so it takes 3 and a half days for u to do 2k miles
70 mph at hours is 700 miles a day...so its 2 and about 8 hours for me...i do about 700 in 9 and a halfhours out west
see the difference ima a whole day ahead of you -
Exactly. You cannot push a rope. How can you possibly run 75 and not be on the next trucks arse for the entire trip? All you are doing is racing to the DOT bumper of the next truck. On the fuel, on the brake, on the fuel, on the CB, get outta my way I got to do 1000 miles today. I guess it's different in TX than in the Neast.
More self justification and misinformation. You're not getting it back. Maybe a course in tax preparation is in order?
Serious question: Do you really own your own truck and if you do, for how long and what is your marginal tax rate? -
It's not about the miles, it's about what the broker pays and how much you book that day. I'm home daily by 5 pm so I'm a few days ahead of you by my book.
2.5k miles in 13 days. -
This is about perpetuating the LIE that speed doesn't cost fuel. PERIOD. Get over it.
Who said 63 anyway...that was for the 85 mph guy.
