Hey guys, I've enjoyed reading your experiences so far. Thanks for taking the time to post. I'm thinking of going with Celadon as well. I called and talked to a recruiter today. I have a friend who has been driving for another company for 2'yrs and wants to drive teams. So I am definitely going to get my cdl. Seems like Celadon has the fewest negative post of any of the other companies that I have researched. Keep posting your experiences. It is very helpful. I haven't applied yet, just in the beginning stages.
newbietrucker007 Thanks this. -
A couple of questions for you guys. How many people are in a dorm room during training? Also, once you finish with the trainer for 6 weeks and do the team for the 240,000, if you team with an experience driver who didn't go through the training, do they get more than the .18 a mile that we get? Thanks.

It is spm . unless you are doubting that choice .
I mean celadon is not like the others trucking companies -
As far as the pay for the more experienced team member, I don't know BUT from what I understand when you are driving team, the truck gets paid and that amount gets split between the drivers.
IF (big IF) I am understanding that correctly, it would be hard to pay the drivers different rates. The only way to really know is to call and talk to a recruiter and/or try to find a current Celadon team. I do know that they have changed the rules and rates in the last few months so you would have to find a team that is new and in the situation that you are asking about, which might be a tall order. Good luck!newbietrucker007 and Spm Thank this. -
