GPS feedback, looking for fresh info

    You're kinda right, but there are more than 2 databases, and most of those are conglomerates of government maps, aerial and satellite photography.

    TTBOMK, Navteq and Delorme are the only "self-observed" DBs.

    Then you won't be buying anything, ever. Users often have preposterous expectations of their GPS/GIS units. They tend to think the unit is going to do all the work.

    Buy something from a major retailer you can return anywhere, with the attitude you're "trying" it.

    Every truckstop has a 30 day return policy. Just keep your receipt and box.

    Thanks for everybody's responses. Will always keep the Atlas on me, got some great info from everybody. I usually order my gizmo's and gadgets through Amazon, they have great customer service and return policies, but for this purchase maybe I will just hit the travel store.
