well, for a guy that runs for Schneider and is home every weekend, I'm surprised that SNI's idle policy is a new concept.

don't know who you are, or why you've chosen SNI to hate on, but bugger off. You bring nothing to the community.

    Troll on elsewhere....

I don't run for Schneider. I use to on a dedicated account.

I'm not hating on Schneider. I just think some of their rules and policies regarding the welfare of their drivers is absurd to the point of ridiculous. No inverters over 180w and they can only plug into a power plug? No idling the trucks above or below a certain temperature? What happened to being comfortable in the truck? TV, fridge, microwave, maybe a xbox or DVD player.
I think sni is a decent company overall. Just some of their rules are just.......

It's a open forum so I'm allowed to join in any discussion I feel free to sir. Just cause I don't currently drive a 60 mph orange truck right now doesn't mean I can't voice my opinion.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. I didn't take that as bashing the company, just pointing out things and giving his opinion, and as a newbie I appreciate any and all input.

Yeah. Go somewhere else. We don't value your opinion. Oh wait. I'm starting to sound like some of the big wigs in Green Bay.

why would they provide APU's? they have 5000 trucks. so they can't go and buy 1 APU per truck.

secondly your comfort isn't their problem,

I do, they take up most of the under bunk area but they sure are fun to play with during all my free time. :)

Staying cool and/or warm isn't an issue. Team drivers should be moving enough that they'll never have to worry about battery charge (resets entitle you to a Hotel on SNI).

My truck is nicer than my first apartment. It stays warmer in winter, colder in summer, dryer in the rain, there's more storage and I'm less likely to he found stabbed to death in my own bed. The only thing that's missing is a shower/toilet.
