Hi drivers,
I'm a current Minnesota Twin Cities area driver with about 3 months OTR experience. I'm making .33 CPM and driving a van about 550 miles a day doing no touch drop and hook and I'm home most nights and weekends. I know this is a dream situation to many drivers, but I do not like the long days for such a small amount of pay. I know as I get more experience, the pay will go up, but I'm wondering where I can go that I can make more now.
If I'm going to be away so many hours a day (between 12 and 14), I'd like to earn more doing it.
Does anyone know of any MN Twin Cities area companies that pay good that will hire a 3 month driver? Any info on the ND oil fields or other higher pay positions is what I'm seeking first hand info on. Feel free to PM if you like. I have a clean driving record and about 45,000 miles OTR experience.

Try Dayton freight but they might require more experience + hazmat.

So, "local" isn't all that great ? Almost all truck driving jobs are 12-14 hr days. That's the industry. Out of bed at 3-4 AM and get home at 5, 6 even 7 PM. Ya' gotta' love it, right ?

I haul gas in the twin cities. Run 4am-4pm. Get some more experience, and give gas hauling a try. If that doesn't interest you, trying getting on with ups freight, abf, or a few other LTL companies

Ignore "experience required" and apply to any company you like. Sometimes they bend their own hiring rules.
