Correct it has alot to do with all the factors. But as far as those trips I think 1 and 3 was almost no wind and 2 had a 5-10 mile tail.
Just pointing out that speed may be part of the equation but to many other variables in my opinion as well to justify not going near the speed limit as my own test showed me but I have many other variable as well since I dont pull loads that are easy to compare those three where done around a four month time period one in Nov one Dec and one Feb. And happen to be the same product from the same amount same place their is only one other place I pulled fron more than a couple times but all different weights sizes. That USG shoals.
Would love to have more if the same stuff often enough ro test better but I dont.
So did two weeks one way and two the other got same overall MPG. -
My truck is such a pile my speedo doesn't work so I don't know. Only thing that works is my secondary air gauge.

But to be fair I cant do as some are 57 not on your life even Michigan realized that 15 mph deference was dangerous. Maybe not so much to the slow poke but to those around them. Only time I see that slow is when in towns construction zones and when climbing hills heavy.

And dot has not shut you down lucky my primary went out made sure it was fixed that day but hey I drive near speed limit and don't have any money since it went to fuel while your petting you're self in the middle lane creating a hazard for others and dont have the money to make sure your guages work and who kniw what else.
I think I will keep putting the few extra bucks in the tank. And make that extra load I want my stuff right. LOLx#1 Thanks this. -
