My buddy's father works as a driver for Pilot Logistics in Tioga and he texted me a snapshot of his W-2 a couple of days ago: he made 127k working 10 months up there.
Not too shabby at all, and he says if you can drive and do a good job, the company will let you work as much as you want.MoneyCat and unclegoose Thank this. -
I thought Pilot logistics did only fuel hauling? They get paid that good??
-
Apparently so because I saw his tax form myself... and I don't know the extent of everything he (or Pilot) does but he works as a driver, works an ungodly amount of hours and he does have to pay for housing (company-owned but still $300-something out of every paycheck).MoneyCat Thanks this.

in N.D. they start out at 24 an hour. pilot logistics is dedicated only to oilfield. all they do is haul to drilling rigs, frac jobs, and generator stations ect., here in the okc. area they do have a couple of crude trucks. there not to big into crude hauling though.

I am not dead set on hauling crude but around here hazmat pays better and has more consistent hours. I just learned that lube hauling is more than a grease truck so I will be talking to some of the companies that Stanman listed.

Ungodly as in what?
-
Is he paid hourly or commission or what?
-
"Ungodly" as in always, almost every day, and for so much of the day that he only has time to shower, sleep and do it again the next day.
Not sure. He told me what his pay comes out to per hour, and I don't know if he meant that he was paid by the hour or that's just what it averages out to based on commission earned divided by hours worked. Either way his hourly isn't really that big, he just works A LOT.
He said most guys work less than him but they have the option to work more if they want. Really just depends what their priorities are. -
Hey Chris,
What area are you working in?
